Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an OT Cyber Innovation Lead to drive innovative cyber security solutions and emerging technologies across complex OT environments. You will guide initiatives from concept through trials and into deployment, partnering with OT, cyber security, engineering and operations teams.

The role requires strong delivery experience in OT/ICS settings, a solid cyber security foundation, and the ability to translate ideas into practical, value-driven programs that endure in production.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technology, cyber security or innovation initiatives within Operational Technology (OT)
• Good understanding of OT and Industrial Control System environments
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles in operational/industrial contexts
• Experience taking new technologies from exploration through requirements to delivery
• Experience evaluating technologies through trials, pilots or proofs-of-concept
• Experience developing business cases, statements of work or delivery plans
• Experience coordinating multiple initiatives across technical, operational and project teams

Responsibilities

• Lead OT cyber security and technology innovation initiatives from early-stage concept through to implementation
• Identify opportunities where new technologies could strengthen cyber resilience or improve operational outcomes
• Collaborate with OT, cyber security, engineering and operations teams to define challenges and develop solutions
• Assess emerging technologies and determine feasibility, benefits and applicability to OT environments
• Define scope, requirements, objectives and delivery approaches for initiatives
• Develop business cases, project briefs and statements of work to support investment
• Lead trials, pilots and proofs-of-concepts with clear objectives and measurable value
• Coordinate delivery across technical teams and external partners
• Manage technology suppliers and third-party delivery to ensure outcomes and value
• Track risks, dependencies and prioritisation across a portfolio of initiatives
