Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in Amersham seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead the Experts at Hand programme across SEND reforms. You will design, develop and deliver a transformational OT service, providing strategic leadership and collaboration with Local Authority, Integrated Care Board, schools and partners. Lead workforce development and ensure timely, needs-led support for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration is required.
• Postgraduate clinical/management qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Significant demonstrable experience in managing education/health/social care services.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic, operational and clinical delivery of the Occupational Therapy element of the Experts at Hand programme.
• Drive service innovation and continuous improvement in line with SEND reforms.
• Lead and develop a team of Highly Specialist Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants.
• Provide expert advice, consultation and clinical leadership for complex situations.
• Monitor service performance, outcomes and quality standards.
