Job summary

Proclinical is partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Materials Characterisation & Formulation Scientist. The role supports drug product development, material change assessments, and manufacturing process performance predictions.

You will apply expertise in OSD, formulation development, and manufacturing science to understand how raw materials, excipients, and APIs influence quality and process robustness, using experiments, process understanding, and data

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical development/manufacturing environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation and process development studies.
• Evaluate impact of API/excipient variability on manufacturing and quality.
• Assess supplier changes and material variability through lab work and risk assessment.
• Develop small-scale models of manufacturing processes.
• Investigate relationships between material attributes and CQAs.
