Job description
Overview

We are currently seeking three experienced Orthotists who are looking to develop their career and be part of our large and dynamic team in London and surrounding areas. We can offer full-time or part-time positions in some of London prestige hospitals. Roles are available in central London, north London, and East London, covering multiple sites across London. The role involves a complex clinical workload with opportunities to develop clinical and leadership skills.

Working at: London and Surrounding areas (OCS). OCS covers 13 NHS Trusts, including notable trusts in London such as Great Ormond Street, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, UCLH, and Chelsea and Westminster, among others. OCS runs leading MDT clinics in the UK, including joint diabetic clinics with international diabetic podiatry surgeons, complex neuro clinics at NHNN, scoliosis clinics, and complex paediatric KAFO clinics. This range provides exposure to varied and interesting caseloads.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the service
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs)
  • Input and lead on initiatives within the centre service development plan
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their orthotic needs
  • Develop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plans
  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practices
  • Provide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment process
  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing and adjusting orthoses as required
  • Maintain appropriate clinical notes

The role will contribute to service improvements for the benefit of patients in London and surrounding areas (OCS). The successful candidate will join a busy team and be supported with local, regional, and national training to develop clinical skills and support the service, with a focus on delivering a first-class service using advanced clinical and technical solutions.

  • Certified Orthotist
  • HND Orthotics
  • BSc Orthotics
  • Must also be fully HCPC Registered
