A healthcare service in Launceston is seeking an Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician to provide high-level technical services, supervise training, and collaborate with clinicians in device design and manufacture. The position is permanent full-time with a salary range from $74,783 to $94,263 per annum plus benefits.
The Team:
You will be based at Launceston General Hospital, working directly with a team of 8. In a hospital setting means a blend of acute and chronic presentations requiring bespoke interventions, ensuring a variety of work. Together with the wider Tasmanian Orthotics and Prosthetic Service, you will be offered support and guidance from an internationally experienced team from Hobart and the state’s North West.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:$74,783 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Experience in technical and manufacturing processes, including hands-on production, equipment troubleshooting, and implementing efficiency improvements to support high-quality output and operational excellence.
Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements or TGA personalised medical device regulation requirements.
