Since 2009, Opcare has provided Orthotic Services in Coventry and Rugby. This role offers a chance to influence and improve service delivery. The Orthotic Department at UHCW Coventry offers inpatient, outpatient, and community care, working with diverse adult and paediatric MDTs and clinics, including specialist gait lab assessments, and collaborative work with physiotherapists, surgeons, and endocrinologists.
The role involves leading and supporting the daily orthotic services at UHCW, including diabetic, MSK, and outpatient clinics, with opportunities to engage in cross-company projects such as 3D manufacturing and clinical governance.
The successful candidate will lead a clinical team in assessing patients alongside the interdisciplinary team, ensuring treatment aligns with best practices, and supporting the Centre Manager in maintaining high standards across clinical, operational, financial, and safety governance.
The role includes leading various MDT clinics, such as paediatrics, diabetic foot, foot and ankle, theatre casts, and gait lab planning.
The successful candidate will receive regional and national training to enhance their skills and support service excellence.
