Job summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Clinical Sister, Charge Nurse to lead and develop the ward team. The post supports the ward manager in delivering safe, high standards of patient care, governance and education for junior staff.

The role requires deputising for the Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse and providing clinical leadership within the ROH NHS Foundation Trust, a leading orthopaedic hospital in the West Midlands.

Qualifications

• Substantial/Significant experience required as a Band 5 staff nurse.
• NMC PIN.
• Evidence of post graduate professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist ward manager/senior charge nurse in the delivery, standards and management of patient care on the ward.
• Provide guidance, support and clinical leadership to the clinical team.
• Deputise for the Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse when absent and educate junior staff.
