Job summary

The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Oswestry is seeking a Theatre Scrub Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner (Band 5). The role offers rotation across anaesthetics, scrub and recovery within a leading orthopaedic centre.

We require an NMC registered nurse with an anaesthetic qualification or an HCPC registered ODP. The position is full-time (37.5 hours) with on-call rota commitments and a permanent contract at RJAH.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse with an accredited anaesthetic qualification or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe quality care for patients within the Unit.
• Demonstrate effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support the Co-ordinator in managing the unit and list amendments.
• Maintain safe operation of equipment and observe Trust policies.
• Develop clinical skills of staff and act as mentor/preceptor.
• Ensure mandatory training is completed annually.
