Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust in Bath is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for the Forrester Brown Ward on a maternity cover fixed-term contract up to 9 months. You will provide high-quality care on a trauma and orthopaedic ward, working full time across a rotating pattern including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Ideal candidates are either newly qualified or experienced, motivated to learn orthopaedics, with current UK right to work.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
• Understanding of NMC Code of Practice and requirements for practice.
• Experience in trauma and orthopaedic nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care for orthopaedic patients.
• Discharge planning and patient education for care at home.
• Serve as named nurse and mentor with supervision to junior staff.
