Veterinary Orthopaedic Surgeon – Horsham

Key Details:

  • Working Days: Full-time or part-time considered, with 2–3 days per week preferred
  • Hours: To be agreed, with participation in a shared out-of-hours rota with no out-of-hours operating
  • Duties: Specialist orthopaedic caseload including THR, TPLO, CUE, and arthroscopy, plus case communications with clients and referring vets
  • Salary: The salary on offer will be competitive and commensurate with experience, with flexibility for full-time or part-time arrangements on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

  • Our client is seeking a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon to join a supportive small animal referral team.
  • The role suits an enthusiastic surgeon with a focus on orthopaedics and a commitment to clinical excellence.
  • Candidates must hold a veterinary degree recognised by the RCVS and be eligible to practise in the UK. Ideally, the successful candidate will be an RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics) or have completed RCVS, ECVS, or ACVS diploma examinations.
  • The surgeon will manage a broad orthopaedic caseload, collaborate closely with colleagues, and contribute to a shared out-of-hours rota that is not onerous and does not involve out-of-hours operating.
  • This role requires a veterinarian with strong communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with clients and referring practices.

About the Team and Support:

The team includes an RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery, a residency-trained surgeon, an RCVS Advanced Practitioner, and an Orthopaedic Intern
