Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 5 Orthopaedic Plaster Technician with a BOA Casting Certificate and excellent communication skills to join the Fracture Clinic team.

Job Details

This is a 37.5-hour post based in the Fracture Clinic. Responsibilities include assessing individual patient care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans in line with policies and professional guidelines, and providing plastering services across various departments including orthopaedic wards, clinics, theatres, fracture clinics, and the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct holistic assessments and implement management plans independently.
  2. Utilize specialist knowledge to provide treatment in the Plaster Room and assist in developing services.
  3. Collaborate with the Lead Nurse, Managers, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, patient-focused services.
  4. Participate in teaching and serve as an educational resource within the service.
  5. Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
