Job summary

Underwater Contracting Ltd (UCO) in Orkney is seeking a Remote Foover Technician to support and manage Foover systems and related ROV equipment across the islands.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and coordinate with the Aberdeen team. Training will be provided; a full UK driving licence is required.

This locally based role requires practical hands-on skills, independence, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Technical or engineering background with practical hands-on experience.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to travel across Orkney.
• Able to follow procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on Foover systems and ROVs.
• Respond to faults and breakdowns at client sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and operational faults.
• Maintain spare parts and service equipment locally.
• Coordinate with Aberdeen team for issues and equipment movements.
• Assist with mobilisation, installation and commissioning of Foover systems.
• Provide training and support to client personnel.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Report defects and recurring issues to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and client support.
