Job description

Do you believe the most meaningful organisational change happens through people, conversations and actions rather than policies and paperwork?

Are you passionate about helping leaders lead better, teams work more effectively and organisations create lasting positive change?

The best organisational development doesn't happen in documents. It happens in conversations, teams and actions that make a real difference.

At North East Lincolnshire Council, we're investing in leadership, culture and organisational success, and we're looking for an Organisational Development Practitioner to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work with managers, leaders and teams across the organisation to support change, develop leadership capability, improve team effectiveness and strengthen workplace culture. You'll help turn organisational challenges into practical solutions that enable people and services to thrive.

What you'll do:
  • Facilitate workshops and team development sessions
  • Support organisational change and transformation initiatives
  • Analyse workforce insight and employee feedback
  • Coach and support managers to tackle people challenges
  • Deliver practical solutions that improve performance and engagement

No two days are the same. One day you could be facilitating a workshop with a leadership team, helping them strengthen relationships and work more effectively together. The next, you might be reviewing employee feedback and workforce insight to identify themes, support service improvement or help leaders navigate periods of change.

You'll work closely with colleagues across the council, building trusted relationships and helping translate good intentions into meaningful action.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who is curious about people, passionate about organisational improvement and motivated by helping others succeed.

You may already work in organisational development, learning and development, workforce development, employee engagement or change management. Equally, you may bring transferable experience from project delivery, facilitation, service improvement, leadership development or supporting organisational change.

What matters most is your ability to connect with people, build credibility quickly, understand organisational challenges and turn insight into action. You’ll enjoy variety, thrive on collaboration and be comfortable working with a wide range of managers, teams and leaders.

Most importantly, you’ll believe that great organisations are built by supporting great people, helping leaders lead better, teams work better and services perform at their best.

Why join us?
  • Make a visible impact across the organisation
  • Work on varied and meaningful projects
  • Develop your organisational development expertise
  • Be part of a supportive and ambitious team shaping the future of the council
If you're passionate about people, improvement and positive change, we'd love to hear from you.
Join us and help create a great place to work, where people can do their best work and deliver great outcomes for our communities.
