An exciting opportunity has arisen toappoint a Band 7 Team Leader to our well-established Childrens Communitynursing team within Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health and Care NHSTrust. This is a full- time post and the successful candidate will need to be aRegistered Childrens nurse with proven leadership skills. It is essential thatthe successful candidate has recent clinical skills and experience in caringfor children/young people with complex health needs and preferably palliativecare experience in the community.

This post will coverthe North of the County based in Bromsgrove. We do provide a Countywide serviceand you maybe required to cover this on occasions, including an on-callservice.

This is full time post, but we wouldconsider applicants looking for part time (minimum 30 hours per week).

Main duties of the job

The post holderwill be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safeand appropriate care to children, young people, and their families. This willinclude professional leadership and allocation and delegation of work to meetservice users individual needs, ensuring care is delivered by competent staff.The post holder will provide day to day operational delivery includingsupervision and support to the Team throughout the County.

Youwill also manage a clinical caseload as part of this role.

Qualifications
  • Registered Childrens Nurse with current NMC registration
  • First level degree or equivalent qualification in related subject
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate courses/Continual Professional Development maintained in portfolio
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
  • Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or prepared to study course
  • Recognised teaching qualification
Knowledge
  • Professional Development issues.
