Oral Health Improvement Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamicand experienced Oral Health professional to join a newly expanding Oral HealthImprovement Team in Herefordshire and Worcestershire as a Band 6 Oral HealthImprovement Lead.

This is a pivotal role responsible for thedevelopment, coordination, and delivery of oral health programmes designed toimprove outcomes across diverse communities. The successful candidate willprovide leadership and management to a dedicated team and work in collaborationwith internal and external stakeholders to promote oral health and reduceinequalities.

Dueto the rural nature of the areas covered and the outreach required, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.

Please note the Trust is unable to providesponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to workin the UK status.

This is a part time role for 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Lead and manage the Oral Health ImprovementTeam across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Develop strategic oral health promotion planswith the Clinical Director and Public Health Consultant.

Ensure delivery of KPIs and commissioningoutcomes.

Provide data reporting, audit, and evaluationfor service planning and improvement.

Plan and deliver campaigns, education sessions,and resources aligned with local/national priorities.

Liaise with schools, care homes, early yearssettings, and health professionals to support collaborative initiatives.Oversee programme budgets and resources.

Ensure compliance with Trust policies, GDCstandards, and NICE guidance.

Deliver oral health training to professionals,volunteers, and the public.

Provide supervision, appraisal, and support forstaff development.

Act as the lead contact for commissioners andstakeholders.

Represent the Trust in local/regional dentalpublic health networks.

Manageand supervise Oral Health Improvement Officers and Administrators.

Workclosely with the Clinical Director and Consultant in Dental Public Health tomeet strategic objectives and performance indicators.

Actas the main point of contact with commissioners and key partners across health,education and voluntary sectors.

Develop,monitor and evaluate health promotion resources, campaigns and trainingprogrammes.

Contributeto service redesign, quality improvement, and risk management processes.

Supportwith data collection and reporting to inform future planning and commissioning.

Representthe service in local and regional networks and contribute to national dentalhealth surveys.
