Job Description

The Bank has expanded its cloud services over recent years. As we grow, we are evolving our operating model for greater efficiency.

This role is within the ERP platform team, part of Central Services and Governors DGCIO.

We seek a Lead Product Engineer specializing in Oracle Fusion SaaS to drive design, development, and optimization of enterprise solutions. This role combines technical expertise and functional knowledge to ensure seamless integration, customization, and performance of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (ERP Financials, HCM, ERP Procurement).

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and functional teams to understand processes, define roadmaps, and implement continuous improvements in an evergreen Oracle Cloud environment. They will be the Bank's HCM techno-functional specialist and act as the interface between Business Product Owners and support teams.

We support learning and development to fill technical gaps, including Oracle University.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with stakeholders to translate enterprise processes into technical solutions.
  • Configuring Oracle Fusion applications to meet evolving needs.
  • Providing technical support, troubleshooting, and optimizing configurations.
  • Leading design, implementation, and enhancement of Oracle Fusion SaaS applications, especially Oracle HCM.
  • Shaping product roadmaps and adopting new Oracle Cloud features, including developing custom extensions and integrations using Oracle PaaS and Fusion Middleware.
  • Ensuring best practices for deployment, security, and performance.
  • Collaborating with Technology colleagues and third-party support to align goals.
  • Championing continuous delivery through DevOps practices.

Role Requirements

Minimum Criteria

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP Financials, HCM, ERP Procurement) in similar roles.
  • IT support background (ITIL, SDLC, infrastructure management) and business process experience.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion implementations for Public Sector.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS support or implementation.
  • Skills in Oracle Integration Cloud, PaaS, Fusion Middleware.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, Oracle ADF.
  • Experience with BIP, OTBI, FBDI, HDL, Web Services (REST/SOAP).
  • Configuring Oracle Fusion applications and supporting SaaS models.

Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge of other ERP or financial systems.
  • Understanding of HR business processes.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and adopt Oracle Cloud features.
  • Effective communication of functional changes.
  • Leadership in Agile projects.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Professionalism, organization, self-motivation, and a desire to learn.
  • Workload management skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Oracle Cloud certifications.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML and automation tools in Oracle Cloud.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: Leeds circa £72,320 - £81,360. Benefits include pension, performance awards, benefits allowance, annual leave, private medical insurance, and income protection.
