Job Title: Oracle Technical Consultant

Location: Hybrid (Reading with some occasional travel to London)

Contract Type: Permanent

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Technical Consultant to support the post-go-live phase of an Oracle Cloud implementation by delivering and optimising additional modules across Procurement, HR, and Finance. The role focuses on increasing system utilisation, enhancing reporting capabilities, and enabling the organisation to realise greater business benefits through the Oracle Cloud platform.

• Deliver technical enhancements and implementation of Oracle Cloud modules, including Redwood UI-related updates and improvements to Finance, Procurement, and HR functions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand departmental process requirements and reporting needs.
• Define, estimate, and deliver future Oracle Cloud enhancements that align with organisational goals.
• Ensure staff are paid accurately and on time, and suppliers are paid in accordance with public sector standards.
• Contribute to budgetary oversight by improving financial reporting and integration with budget management tools.
• Work with internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver thoroughly tested technical releases.
• Perform detailed documentation and manage handover of release-ready solutions to outsourced support partners.
• Respond promptly to ad hoc reporting requests, ensuring delivery of critical reports in line with business priorities.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering technical enhancements or full-cycle implementations of Oracle Cloud modules (Finance, Procurement, HR).
• Proven experience working in complex, regulated environments with cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, capable of translating business needs into technical deliverables.
• Expertise in packaging and handing over tested releases for go-live with third-party or managed service providers.
• Capable of prioritising and delivering urgent reports and solutions under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with payroll, supplier payment policies, and public sector budgetary controls.
• Experience with Redwood UI enhancements
• Strong knowledge of OTBI, BI Publisher, and Oracle Analytics Cloud
• Understanding of compliance requirements in regulated environments (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO27001)
