Job Title: Oracle Site Reliability Engineer

Location:

UK (Remote/ Hybrid/ Office)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Oracle Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our critical Oracle-based applications and services supporting a global user base.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle technologies and SRE methodologies. Responsibilities include maintaining system stability, implementing automation, managing patches, and providing expert support. Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and configure network systems for secure connectivity.
2. Administer Oracle Database, Weblogic, Forms, and Reports for optimal performance.
3. Oversee IIS Administration for web services.
4. Deploy and configure MapServer for geospatial data needs.
5. Manage SQL Server databases.
6. Utilize SSIS and SSRS for data integration and reporting.
7. Maintain and troubleshoot IT systems.
8. Leverage cloud platforms and automation tools.
9. Ensure compliance with IT standards and regulations.
10. Apply SRE and DevOps practices to improve system reliability.
11. Maintain UK Security Clearance BPSS as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years of SRE (Oracle) experience.
2. Proficiency in Oracle (Admin, Weblogic, Forms, Reports).
3. Intermediate skills in Windows OS, IIS, and relational databases.
4. Knowledge of networking (DNS, TCP/IP) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
5. Experience with MapServer deployment, SSIS, SSRS, and automation tools.
6. Understanding of SRE and DevOps.
7. Cloud certifications are a plus.
8. Knowledge of ITIL is advantageous.
9. Strong teamwork and time management skills.
