Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Simphony Consultant to lead and deliver a large-scale POS implementation for a major hospitality brand. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2–3 days per week onsite in Luton, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop overall architecture for Oracle Simphony POS implementations.
  2. Set up Simphony environments, including hierarchy and zone setup, menu and pricing configurations, and interface management.
  3. Lead E2E technical implementations, ensuring alignment with brand standards for menus, pricing, promotions, and workflows.
  4. Define and deploy POS hardware architecture (CAPS, terminals, tablets, handhelds, KDS, printers, and peripherals).
  5. Integrate Simphony with Opera PMS, inventory management systems, TMS, OPI, SPI, and other certified tools.
  6. Perform upgrades and maintenance, including Simphony 19.x GR and MR package updates.
  7. Analyse POS data and Reporting & Analytics outputs to provide business insights.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and data security regulations.
  9. Manage seamless transitions between legacy and new POS solutions.
  10. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert solution designs.
  11. Support inventory management solutions and their integration with Simphony.
Qualifications:
  1. 10+ years' experience in Simphony architecture, ideally within hospitality or retail environments.
  2. Proven track record delivering Simphony POS implementations across multi-property sites.
  3. Strong experience in POS upgrades, system maintenance, and data configuration.
  4. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Skills:
  1. Deep expertise in Simphony/POS architecture and API integrations.
  2. End-to-end data flow design and scalable system architecture experience.
  3. Strong documentation skills (Solution Design, Integration Design) with Architecture Board experience.
  4. Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and compliance requirements.
