Oracle Financial Systems Specialist

Location: London
Contract: Temporary (6 month initial)
Rate: £750 - £825 Per Day Umbrella
Start date: ASAP

Job Description

Service Care Solutions is recruiting for an Oracle Financial Systems Specialist to join a local authority in London on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oracle expert with a proven track record in data migration, archiving, SQL report writing, procurement management chain, and role configuration within Oracle Financials. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising financial processes, enhancing system functionality, and ensuring compliance within a public sector environment.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the migration of financial data, ensuring data integrity and security, while implementing effective archiving strategies.
  2. Develop and maintain SQL-based reports, extracting and presenting financial data to support decision-making.
  3. Oversee and optimise the procurement processes within Oracle Financials, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  4. Configure and manage user roles, defining inherited privileges to maintain secure and structured system access.
  5. Provide technical expertise in Oracle Financials, identifying system improvements and resolving issues.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Extensive experience working with Oracle Financials, particularly in system configuration and process optimisation.
  2. Strong track record of successfully migrating financial data within Oracle environments.
  3. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and reports to extract, analyse, and present financial data.
  4. In-depth understanding of procurement processes within Oracle, including purchase orders, approvals, and workflows.
  5. Experience in defining and managing Oracle roles, user access controls, and inherited privileges.
  6. Previous experience working within a local authority environment, understanding public sector financial regulations and reporting requirements.
