Fantastic new permanent opportunity for an experienced Oracle Finance Platform Lead for this market-leading company based in Bristol.

As the Finance Platform Lead, you will provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise in the development, implementation, and optimisation of their Finance Platforms (predominantly Oracle EBS). This role ensures that the platform aligns with business objectives, is efficient, well-run, and equipped with the latest features and functionalities to support the Finance, Operational, and Central teams.

You will own the Finance (Oracle EBS) Platform vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring communication and buy-in from the wider business. You will have a passion for their users, understanding the importance of using insights about user engagement to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Leading a team of approximately 8 Finance Analysts, you will be passionate about people and about creating a supportive and high-performing environment to develop and motivate your team towards shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and grow a high-performing team with skills to deliver value through current and future Finance platforms (primarily Oracle EBS). Empower your team to make decisions, fostering psychological safety to develop, test, and learn quickly.
  2. Work closely with the business to set Finance platform strategy, priorities, manage dependencies, and maintain alignment with business outcomes.
  3. Establish and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale changes and continuous improvements throughout the development lifecycle, measuring impacts on user experience and business outcomes.
  4. Be accountable for platform performance, defining and reporting on success metrics.
  5. Provide expertise and leadership in managing end-user support, creating robust business processes and system documentation, diagnosing and fixing issues, managing UAT, and ensuring audit compliance.
  6. Align team priorities with overall Digital, IT, and Business Strategy and OKRs.
  7. Build partnerships with Platform Partners (e.g., Oracle) to ensure a collaborative, value-driven relationship.
  8. Stay updated with emerging finance technologies and market trends, integrating insights into team and business strategies.

Skills Required:

  1. Proven experience in a similar Finance Platform Lead role.
  2. Successful track record in building and coaching high-performing, collaborative teams.
  3. Experience with Oracle Systems, including Finance, P2P, and Workflow modules.
  4. Proficiency in supporting and analyzing Oracle EBS R12, with familiarity with call logging systems.
  5. Technical understanding of Oracle Databases and development tools.
  6. Experience with UAT processes.
  7. Successful delivery and measurement of innovation and continuous improvements across platforms/products.
  8. Experience managing complex technology projects from design to deployment and measurement.
  9. Strong relationships with third-party SaaS providers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  10. Excellent communication and influencing skills to gain confidence from stakeholders and team members.
  11. Ability to use data effectively to inform decisions and test hypotheses.
  12. Understanding of complex business problems and applying technology solutions creatively.
  13. Ability to prioritize effectively amidst changing demands.
  14. Strong business acumen and willingness to challenge the status quo.
