Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Financials Consultant with a minimum of 8+ years implementation experience. As a Senior Oracle Financials Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing the solution and implementation of the Oracle Financials applications and will play a customer-facing role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making and support financial planning and reporting activities in your area.

You will lead a work stream and support your peers to configure, test and deploy the solution, and ensure project deliverables in your area are met. In addition to project related activities, you will also contribute to proposal development, demonstrating functional capabilities to potential customers and play an important role in building our Oracle Cloud capabilities and offerings.

As an experienced consultant you will be a self-starter and have strong functional skills in the implementation of Oracle Cloud, backed up by proven hands-on experience, ideally across different industries. You will have the ability to work under pressure and must be able to communicate effectively with customer stakeholders. You will also be required to travel to client sites as part of the role.

Required technical and professional expertise

Candidates will demonstrate a successful track record of the following:

• Proven experience in Oracle Financial applications implementation, configuration, and management with a minimum of 3 end to end implementations of:
• Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable
• General Ledger
• Experience leading streams of work and delegating/ managing small teams of consultants both on-shore and off-shore.
• Demonstrated experience in Solution Design, Requirements Analysis, Functional Design, Configuration Documentation, Troubleshooting and Integration Architecture.
• Experience working with technical teams for Interface design, development and testing.
• Ability to multi-task and to work independently.
• Strong client facing, communication and client management skills.
• A good understanding of Application Implementation methodologies.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience in the following areas:
• Fixed Assets
• Cash Management
• Expenses
• Oracle Cloud Implementation Certification(s).
• A firm understanding of the Finance processes that interact with other functional areas e.g. Supply Chain Management, Procurement.
• An understanding of the reporting and analytical tools available as part of Oracle Cloud.
• Experience in pre-sales activities such as contributing to proposals, conducting Proof of Concepts & Configuring Sand-box environments for functional demonstrations.
