Powered Enterprise is KPMG's world-class accelerated Enterprise Business Transformation approach for cloud-based solutions driven by a pre-defined back-office function based on leading practices and KPMG's six-layer Target Operating Model. The target operating model comprises of service delivery model, people, process, technology, data & insight, and governance & controls. This solution combines the breadth and scale of KPMG's capabilities and insight into what makes a world-class corporate services function with the latest in ERP technology provided by leading SaaS ERP vendors such as Oracle.

The Powered Apps teams are communities of technology-focused professionals who work together to deliver SaaS ERP and EPM-based transformation programmes based on KPMG Powered Enterprise. The teams utilize their functional knowledge and experience (Planning, Finance, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in cloud applications (Oracle, Workday, Coupa) to lead and deliver client programmes, support pre-sales activities, and develop improvements and extensions to the Powered Enterprise model. KPMG is expanding its Powered Apps team to meet increasing market demand and is seeking IT management consultants with relevant expertise and experience.

The Role

  1. Communicating compelling and well-thought-out solutions for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) in response to complex client problems.
  2. Supporting business development and project delivery activities across clients from multiple industries.
  3. System design and delivery, including release management, integration management, data migration strategy, and management.
  4. Defining an overall Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution leveraging leading practice solutions to support business requirements.

Functional skills:

  1. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  2. An understanding of the key business issues/drivers that result in clients pursuing transformation programmes.
  3. Experience of multiple industry sectors (Media, Services, Retail, Insurance, Local Government, etc.).
  4. Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to land key decisions with senior leaders and key business stakeholders.
  5. Experience of multiple Oracle Cloud EPM implementation project lifecycles, from presales, scoping, and planning through to post go-live support, as a Solution Architect.
  6. Detailed knowledge of Oracle Cloud EPM-enabled end-to-end business processes across Finance.
  7. A background in designing and delivering end-to-end business processes across multiple functional areas including FP&A processes, Planning, Financial close and consolidation, Reconciliation, Data management, and other Oracle cloud products.
  8. Experience in design and implementation of EPM applications, primarily EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS, DM, and EDMCS; experience with PCMCS and EPRCS is advantageous.
  9. Experience in key finance and accounting processes, including general accounting, corporate consolidation, financial planning and analysis, accounts payables and receivables, fixed assets, and management reporting.
  10. Experience with governance controls, change management, conceptual data modeling, master data management, data standardization, and data quality management.
  11. Broad knowledge of other Oracle Cloud product sets like ERP, SCM, HCM, and Payroll solutions.
  12. An understanding of the functional, application, and technical architectural elements of an Oracle Cloud EPM program.
  13. Experience operating and implementing in a cloud environment and understanding the impacts compared to on-premise solutions.
  14. Experience managing a team of 10+ colleagues, including clients and third parties.
  15. Experience in planning and estimating Oracle Cloud EPM programs.
  16. An appreciation of user experience-based design, personas, user journeys, and how this can augment a solution.

Professional skills:

  1. Excellent documentation, reporting, and presentation skills in both virtual and in-person modes.
  2. Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to clarify complex issues and synthesize large information sets.
  3. Experience producing project deliverables like business requirements, functional specs, configuration documents, process flows, use cases, and requirements traceability matrices.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Projects.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, team building, organizational, and motivational skills.
  6. A fast learner with the ability to quickly get up to speed.
  7. Ability to convey ideas and recommendations clearly and succinctly, both in writing and verbally.
  8. Good attention to detail and data analysis skills for decision-making.
  9. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle competing priorities.
  10. Experience diagnosing and resolving issues independently; taking initiative in ambiguous situations.
  11. Ability to re-prioritize and make decisions based on new information.
