Job summary

SMX is seeking an accomplished Senior Business Analyst to collect, document, and analyze business requirements and configure Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions. This remote role with travel requires clearance and collaboration across cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and align systems with business objectives.

Key duties include requirements analysis, solution design, configuration and testing, and providing functional support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in business analysis roles.
• Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Requirements analysis: gather and document requirements for Oracle EBS features and configurations.
• Solution design: translate needs into functional specs and design EBS-based solutions.
• Configuration and implementation: set up Oracle EBS modules to meet business needs; support projects through to production.
• Testing: create test plans, scripts, and cases; perform functional testing and assist UAT.
• Functional support: provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with tech teams.
• Collaboration: bridge business units and technical teams for successful integration.
• Process improvement: identify opportunities to improve processes using Oracle EBS.
• Documentation and training: develop system docs and train users on new features.

SMX is seeking accomplished Senior Business Analysts to collect, document, and analyze business requirements and configure Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing and implementing system solutions, providing functional support, performing testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and align the system with business objectives. This requires a clearance and is a remote role with some travel required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Requirements analysis: Work with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new features, enhancements, and configurations in Oracle EBS.

• Solution design: Translate business needs into functional specifications and design system solutions that leverage Oracle EBS functionality.

• Configuration and implementation: Configure and set up Oracle EBS modules to meet business requirements and support projects through to production. Testing: Create test plans, scripts, and cases, and perform functional testing and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Functional support: Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and coordinate resolutions with technical teams.

• Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and successful integration of solutions.

• Process improvement: Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Oracle EBS.

• Documentation and training: Develop system and user documentation and deliver training to help users adopt new functionalities.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active clearance or public trust based on sponsor.

• Commercial treasury and cash management implementation experience

• Deep understanding accounting and specifically line of accounting (LOA) configuration

• Application enablement skills

• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and its modules (e.g., Finance, Procurement)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

• Experience with requirements gathering, testing, and solution design.

• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Directly related postgraduate study may be substituted for experience at the rate of three credit hours for three months of experience up to 36 credit hours.

• Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 experience.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Oracle certifications, such as OCP for EBS R12 preferred.

• Federal financials / LOA understanding

• Oracle Cloud development and Oracle APEX experience.

• Project costing

• Oracle EBS core financial accounting knowledge

• BS in accounting or CPA highly desired

The proposed salary for this position is:

$96,400—$150,000 USD
