Oracle DBA - Camberley/Hybrid - 12 months - £500 Per Day


The EMEA Database Services Team consists of 3 core areas: SQL Server, Sybase, and Oracle. The group provides specialist DBA support to all Bank of America Merrill Lynch European businesses, including Private Clients, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Research.

The team is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support critical databases within the EMEA Oracle DBA team. The team manages over 700 instances featuring Oracle 19c/23c databases with RAC, ASM, Exadata, Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle GoldenGate, OEM, and Oracle OID, primarily on Exadata and Linux. Based in Camberley, the EMEA Oracle Application DBA team comprises highly motivated individuals working within a global technology organization to support vital banking and markets applications. The team aims to maintain a global perspective while addressing regional requirements, providing innovative database solutions, and offering opportunities to learn and grow.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing critical production Oracle database issues promptly.
  2. Handling change requests and end-user queries for your designated systems.
  3. Applying ITIL procedures and best practices.
  4. Working within regulated/corporate environments, preferably in financial services.
  5. Managing Oracle 19c/23c databases on ASM/RAC on Linux/Exadata.
  6. Supporting Oracle Exadata and Data Guard configurations.
  7. Performing SQL/PLSQL coding and performance tuning.
  8. Utilizing Oracle GoldenGate for replication tasks.
