Qualifications

Job Title: Oracle DBA

Location: Remote, UK

Duration: 6 months+

Job Description

• Responsible for designing, building, and supporting Oracle databases. These databases are each 100TB in size (and growing), hold over 13 billion rows of data, and process approximately 1 billion SQL statements per day. You will work closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure these services meet standards, maintain SLA compliance, and adhere to client policies.
• Participate in initiatives to improve efficiency, innovation, and quality. Perform proactive analysis, identify automation opportunities, report and address process or technical gaps, reduce incidents, and standardize tasks.
• Support is required 24/7, including on-call rotations, with scheduling adjustments and compensatory time off as per HR policies.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of Oracle DBA support, including design, enhancements, automation, and 24/7 support.
• Manage RAC, Oracle 19c, database restoration, and troubleshooting.

Must have strong experience with Oracle 19c RDBMS, RAC, and Data Guard on Linux.

Responsibilities include:

• Database installation, upgrades, and patching
• Database migrations (within and across platforms)
• Solution deployment, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning
• Incident troubleshooting and resolution
• Managing tablespaces, cloning environments, database backup/restores, and data archival
• Supporting development queries, space management, releases, and service requests
• Server and database health monitoring
• Issue escalation and performance tuning
• Customer service and crisis management from an Oracle DB perspective

Experience with Oracle on RedHat Linux is required. Experience with Delphix is a plus.
