Job summary

Access Computer Consulting plc seeks an Oracle DBA for a hybrid contract in London, with 2–3 days on-site and the remainder remote under an umbrella due to IR35. You will install, configure and maintain Oracle databases, and develop backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Job description

I am recruiting for an Oracle DBA to work on a hybrid basis - 2/3 days in London, remaining time remote.

The role falls inside IR35 so you will need to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

You must have recent experience of working as an Oracle DBA.

You will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle databases.

You will be in charge of developing and implementing database backups and disaster recovery strategies.

You will also be responsible for optimising database performance by fine-tuning database settings, troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to contribute to continuous improvements and develop, implement, and manage database security policies and procedures to guarantee a seamless and successful flow of activities.

You must be proficient in in SQL and SQL server tools.

You will have an advanced understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring requirements and also modelling of relational and dimensional data.

PowerShell and Unix Shell Scripting abilities are required.

Impeccable attention to detail, excellent mathematics, and statistical expertise

Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server infrastructures

A thorough understanding of database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB).
