Job summary

Berenberg is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our Core Infrastructure Services in London. You will manage Oracle databases in a high-availability environment, plan deployments, and automate processes to support innovative trading applications.

The role requires extensive Oracle RAC experience, Linux familiarity, and strong SQL/PL-SQL skills, with excellent English communication. We offer a pension, generous holiday, health and life insurance, flexible hours and parental leave.

Qualifications

• A degree in IT or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with Oracle RAC and relational databases.
• Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages is advantageous.
• Experience with Linux is desirable.
• Very good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Administration, configuration and implementation of Oracle databases in a high-availability environment.
• Planning and deployment of new databases.
• Automation of existing processes.
• Carrying out database migrations, patches and upgrades.
• Providing advice and support for projects.
• Ensuring the smooth operation of storage and archiving processes.
