We’re representing a global analytics provider that supports major consumer brands and retailers through its cutting-edge platforms. Following a strategic acquisition, they’re now looking to appoint a UK-based Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support their UK SaaS platform.

This is a technical, production-facing role focused on the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise-scale Oracle environments, running on Windows Server. Over time, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to cross-skill into Microsoft SQL Server as the broader group’s infrastructure evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and optimise Oracle databases supporting the UK platform
  • Manage backup, recovery, upgrades, patching, and high availability configurations
  • Support schema changes, performance tuning, and database-level troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve operational issues
  • Document configurations and procedures to support continuity and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities
  • Grow your skills into MS SQL Server and broader platform support over time
  • Strong experience as a production Oracle DBA
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL development and tuning skills
  • Experience running Oracle on Windows Server
  • Sound understanding of security, backup, and high availability
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Interest in, exposure of, or experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience supporting SaaS or enterprise-grade applications

This is a rare chance to join a high-performing technical team working on mission-critical systems within a fast-evolving analytics business. The role is fully remote within the UK, with flexibility and long-term career development.
