Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is seeking a consultant to contribute across the full consulting lifecycle, from requirements analysis to solution design and deployment of Oracle HCM Cloud solutions. The role involves customer-facing work, proposal development, and collaboration with peers to deliver cloud-based HR transformations.

Location: Flexible within the UK mainland with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Oracle HCM Cloud and Payroll Cloud applications.
• Experience in multiple Oracle Cloud implementation cycles.
• Experience with design, requirements analysis, configuration documentation, troubleshooting and integration architecture.

Job description

As Consultant working as an integral part of a project team, you will contribute to all phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will play a customer-facing role and be involved in Requirement Analysis, Business Process Documentation & Solution Design. You will work with and support your peers to develop, configure and deploy the solution, and ensure project processes and deliverables in your area are met. In addition to project related activities, you will also contribute to proposal development, demonstrating the application to potential customers.

As an experienced consultant you will be a self-starter and have strong functional skills in the implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud, backed up by proven hands‑on experience, ideally across different industries. You will have the ability to work under pressure and must be able to communicate effectively with customer stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of our premier consulting firm working on the cutting edge of Cloud Implementations. Location: Flexible within the UK mainland, with occasional travel to client sites. Required technical and professional expertise.

• Up to 5 years of functional experience delivering Oracle HCM and Payroll Cloud Applications
• Minimum of 3 full Oracle Cloud Implementations cycles
• Demonstrated experience in Solution Design, Requirements Analysis, Functional Design Configuration Documentation, Troubleshooting and Integration Architecture
• Experience working with technical teams for Interface design, development and testing
• Ability to multi-task and to work independently
• Strong client facing, communication and client management skills
• A good understanding of Application Implementation methodologies
• Ability to travel to client sites.
• Demonstrable functional skills in:
• Oracle Fusion Cloud data migration experience in HCM/Payroll implementations
• Data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation
• Experience with Oracle migration tools (FBDI, HDL, ADFdi, APIs)
• Strong data analysis skills
• Data cleansing and data quality management
• Migration testing and defect resolution
• Cutover and go‑live support
• Ability to analyse legacy systems and define migration approaches
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Documentation skills (mapping specifications, migration plans, reconciliation reports)

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Oracle Cloud Implementation Certification(s).
• Understanding of Oracle Cloud products and integrating them with other on premise or cloud applications.
• A good understanding of the broader Oracle Cloud functional areas e.g. HCM and Payroll, CX.
• Good knowledge of the reporting and analytical tools available as part of Oracle Cloud.
