Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister to provide specialist legal advice on childcare and Children’s Services matters for the Council in England and Wales. You will manage complex cases, advocate in court, and collaborate with social workers and other departments.

The role entails preparation of legal documents, attending court, panels, and meetings, and keeping abreast of legislative developments to ensure high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or barrister eligible to practise in England and Wales.
• Knowledge of Children’s Services law and relevant legislation.

Work Pattern:1 Day in the Office 4 Days working From Home

PAYE Pay Rate: £41.90 per hour

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide legal advice, representation and support on Children’s Services matters, ensuring the Council complies with relevant legislation and delivers effective, high-quality services.

Typical Day Overview

• Advising social workers, managers and other Council departments on legal matters.

• Representing the Council in court, tribunals and hearings.
• Attending meetings, committees and panels, including fostering and adoption panels.
• Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and case law.
