Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a council’s Technical Services team. You will lead a team of 6 engineers and oversee maintenance, repairs, compliance and capital projects across a portfolio of about 250 buildings.

You will drive mechanical PPM, liaise on Legionella management, and supervise 40–60 projects annually valued at £3–4 million. You will manage contractors and provide expert technical guidance while ensuring legislative and safety compliance

Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical engineering and building services experience.
• Experience within construction, commercial or corporate property.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services.
• Experience managing teams, contractors and contracts.
• Experience delivering maintenance and capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and Legionella management.
• Excellent technical problem-solving and project management skills.

2 days in the Town Hall 3 days at site meetings or working from home

PAYE Pay Rate:

£360.74 per day

Main Purpose of the Role
