Superb Optometrist Opportunity in Torfaen, Wales with a salary up to £65,000 plus up to £8,000 annual bonus.

Job Summary

A rare opportunity has become available in Cwmbran. Our client is a leading Welsh customer service store, offering both clinical excellence and high Optometrist retention, with over 130 years of experience within their team.

The store offers IP/Med Ret & Glaucoma Certification training and runs a successful Pre-Registration programme, providing valuable experience. Our client seeks a candidate who fits into their staff-friendly culture, offers high customer service, upholds high ethical standards, and is motivated to develop both mentally and academically.

You will join an experienced and stable team in a well-regarded practice with low staff turnover and a strong local reputation, known as the opticians of choice. The hours are ideally full-time, but part-time (4 days/week) with alternate weekends off is also considered.

The practice is highly established, with close community ties, often fully booked and receiving referrals from satisfied patients recommending friends and family.

The practice invests continually in the latest equipment, including OCTs, phoropters, Humphries Fields Machines, and a fully paperless system. With numerous opportunities for clinical and career progression, this is an excellent chance for an Optometrist to join a successful growing practice.

Key Duties

  • Full-time role, flexible to 4 days/week
  • Working hours from 9am-5:30pm
  • Modern, well-equipped clinical practice with OCTs and paperless records
  • Providing wider clinical services including WECS & Cataracts
  • Collaborating with an experienced team including multiple Dispensing Opticians

Package and Benefits

  • Starting from £50k for newly qualified, £60k after 2 years, and up to £65k for IP-qualified
