With roots dating back to 1905, Allders Opticians has been a trusted name in eye care for over a century. Starting as a small optician and jeweller in Luton, we’ve grown into 10 modern practices across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire, blending heritage charm with cutting-edge facilities. We are opening our doors to an Optometrist to complete the team at our Sandy branch.

Allders Opticians, Sandy, has been established since 1964, and we’re committed to delivering exceptional care while supporting our team with a great work-life balance — We don’t open on Sundays or bank holidays and offer early finishes on Saturdays. Join us and become part of a proud history while shaping the future of our group. At Allders Opticians, we embrace the synergy of heritage and modernity. With an ongoing program of branch refits, we are committed to providing a contemporary and comfortable environment for our customers while upholding the values that have been our foundation for over a century.

As an independent practice, we can provide you with the clinical freedom, time, and equipment to solve problems and genuinely help people. Our patient’s are loyal to us, returning year after year, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to see real continuity of care too. We believe working with us will allow you to escape hollow targets whilst providing you with a platform to have your voice heard in practice.

You will also receive:

  • Your birthday off work
  • No Sunday or bank holiday working
  • 33 days holiday
  • Free & regular CPD courses
  • Access to Simply Health (claim cash-back on health-care purchases)
  • Free pair of glasses annually
  • Cycle to work scheme

About the Role

We’re looking for an Optometrist to join us in delivering outstanding patient care over 3 or 4 days per week.

You’ll be an integral part of our team here and will help us drive our service offering forward, always looking for opportunities to improve and innovate.

We’re also looking for someone who shares our dedication to putting patients first and spending the time needed to get to the bottom of their visual needs.

Just as important to us is the way you interact with patients. Providing a friendly, informative, and empathetic service is a must.

Ultimately, you must be an ambassador for our brand and profession within the local community.

Educating others about the benefits of eye care is an ongoing challenge and one that we look forward to meeting head-on with you as a part of our team.
