Job summary

Meeveem Limited in Ilford is recruiting an Optometrist to provide eye care at patients' homes across North East London and surrounding areas. You will conduct 1-hour home visits, building strong patient relationships and delivering gold-standard care.

The role allows flexible days (4 or 5 days a week, no weekends) with a market-leading salary up to £64,000 and a fully expensed company car. Training and equipment are provided to ensure confidence working independently.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes (approx. 6-7 per day) with longer appointment times (about 1 hour) to build strong patient relationships and deliver excellent care.
• Make autonomous decisions with support from senior optometrist team at head office.
• Utilise latest equipment (digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, digital records system) with minimal paperwork.
• CPD support: time and investment to complete exams as needed.

This is an important hire for us as we have a waiting list of patients in the area who are eager to get access to our trusted at-home service.

We’re a flexible employer, and you can choose the number of days you work to fit around family and other commitments – plus we never work weekends!

Equipment:
All of our Optometrists are provided with a full equipment kit, along with comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident before working independently. You can view our equipment in action here Equipment Video

You will:

• Help around 6-7 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes. Our appointments are longer than you’d get on the high street (1 hr), allowing you time to form better relationships with your patients and deliver gold-standard customer care.
• Be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your expertise. Although you'll never be on your own as you can get support or a second opinion in minutes from our senior optometrist team at head office.
• Use the very latest equipment, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and our industry-leading digital records system, which means no paperwork.
• Be supported with your CPD. We'll invest in you and give you the time to complete exams if required.
