Job summary

Vivid Optical Ltd in Exeter and surrounding areas is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to deliver high-quality domiciliary eye care in patients’ homes. The role offers a flexible 4- or 5-day week with no weekend work and a competitive salary plus a location supplement.

You will visit around 6–7 patients per day, conduct ~1‑hour appointments, work autonomously with support from a senior Optometrist team, and use mobile technology for digital records.

Location: Exeter and surrounding area

Salary: Up to 64,000 per annum + £10,000 location supplement

Commission: Paid monthly

Days: 4 or 5 days per week - No weekends

Company Car: Provided for business and personal use

Contract: Full-time or part-time options available

We're looking for an Optometrist based in or around Exeter who can cover patients across Exeter and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality domiciliary eye care in patients' own homes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Visit around 6-7 patients per day in their own homes.
• Conduct comprehensive, approximately 1-hour appointments, giving you time to provide personalised patient care.
• Work autonomously and make clinical decisions while having access to support from a senior Optometrist team.
• Use the latest mobile technology, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp and I-care tonometer. Complete digital records with no paperwork.
• Build strong relationships with patients and deliver clinically excellent eye care.
• Access ongoing CPD support and development opportunities.
