Full-time / Part-time Optometrist Near Isle of Sheppey, Kent

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £59,000.00-£70,000.00 per year , Monday to Friday, alternate weekend cover

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time, experienced Optometrist (part-time considered) in our independent family-run practice in Kent. You will preferably be MECS accredited, and any additional interests, such as Myopia Control, etc, will be supported by the practice.

With two consulting rooms, plus a shared fields screening room, you will have a range of diagnostic equipment to use, including OCT, Optomap, Tonometers (Henson 9000 and iCare), and Visual Field Screeners. We have an excellent supportive team, including regular locum Optometrists, and you will enjoy relaxed testing times, a high level of patient care, and direct access to senior clinical team members.

Our loyal patients expect a good bedside manner, patience, and clear, expert guidance from you. You will be expected to work 5 days per week (3/4 if part-time) and include at least one alternate Saturday. With free parking available behind the practice, we also have a range of local shops and takeaways for a relaxed outing during your one-hour lunch break.

Salary is dependent on experience. Must be registered with the General Optical Council UK. (Annual subscription fees paid by the employer.)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care by conducting eye examinations and assessing visual health.
• Utilise knowledge of anatomy to diagnose and treat various ocular conditions.
• Offer specialised care for senior patients, ensuring their unique needs are met.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with the General Optical Council (GOC) standards.
• Collaborate with optical staff to enhance patient experience and service delivery.
