Working as an optometrist, you will be supported to develop professionally to your maximum potential. Opportunities exist for further study in postgraduate certification and participating in our many research projects is encouraged.
The post holder will exercise high levels of judgement, discretion, and decision making in clinical care.
To provide a comprehensive high quality optometry service for paediatric patients attending Alder Hey ophthalmology department. Work closely with the whole ophthalmology team to deliver a range of paediatric optometric services to the highest standards of quality and care.
Alder Hey Children’s Health Park is a children’s hospital set in the beautiful landscaped gardens of Springfield Park. Our new hospital building opened in October 2015 and offers a unique, relaxing environment. Our team of eye care professionals aims to offer the best paediatric ophthalmology services.
New investment in technologies will support your role within the optometry unit. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute towards the daily running of optometric services including refraction, paediatric cataract, uveitis screening, and anterior segment clinics, as well as providing teaching to junior staff and students.
