Job description

Looking for that new role with an independent group working in a relaxed pace, 4pm finishes on Saturdays, modern equipment… look no more.

This is a full time (open to 4 or 5-days), permanent role offering a very relaxed working environment with customer focus as a priority. You will walk each patient through their visit handling the pre-tests, contact lenses, and testing within 25-30 mins.
My client is looking for an enthusiastic, up beat person looking to work in an independent rather than the multiples stepping away from the “production line” style.

– Salary – £70,000 basic – Bonus – £5,000 per annum OTE – Hours – 9:00-5:30 (Mon-Fri) + 9:00-4:00 (Sat) – Alternate Saturdays – 30-min testing time

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will involve conducting sight tests in 25-30 minute time slots ensuring plenty of time to make a strong recommendation.
Contact lens fittings and aftercares are also part of the role.
As this is an independent company that is renowned for going the extra mile you will be expected to come onto the shop floor to answer questions and get involved with patients as well.
Although patient focus is a big part of the role my client is also looking for someone hands on and commercially aware.

Requirements of the Optometrist

The ideal candidate for this position will ideally have 4/5 years post qualification experience ideally within a clinical practice.
You will possess excellent communication skills and will be passionate about delivering the highest possible levels of care. You will be hard working and dynamic – happy to go the extra mile.
Within this company everyone is expected to take a certain amount of ownership and to treat their patents as though they are theirs.

Compensation for the Optometrist
