Boots Opticians is seeking an Optometrist to deliver outstanding patient care across our Boots stores in the UK, using the latest testing technology and collaborating with a supportive team to uphold clinical excellence.

You’ll lead clinics, contribute to enhanced services, and mentor colleagues while pursuing career growth in leadership, pre-reg development, or franchise opportunities. GOC registration and NHS performer number are essential; flexible full- or part-time options available.

• GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months).
• NHS performer number (or working towards it).
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
• Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
• Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
• Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
• Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
• Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
• Playing a key role in your store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift

What You’ll Need To Have (our Must-haves)

• We’re looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.
• GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
• NHS performer number (or working towards it)
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration

It would be great if you also have

• Experience supporting enhanced services
• A strong understanding of local clinical networks
