Job summary

Zest Optical recruitment is working on behalf of a well-regarded independent opticians group to recruit a full time Optical Practice Manager for its established practice in Eltham, South East London. This role combines hands-on leadership with commercial management to maintain a high standard of personalised patient care.

You will lead a friendly team, shape the day-to-day running of the practice and ensure a welcoming, professional service throughout each patient’s visit.

Qualifications

• Previous optical retail management experience required.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of an established optical practice.
• Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver excellent patient care.
• Coach colleagues, identify training needs and encourage professional development.
• Monitor practice performance and work towards agreed business objectives.
• Manage stock, budgets and key performance indicators.
• Ensure the practice meets professional and company standards.
• Build strong patient relationships and maintain high service standards.
• Create a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Full time, permanent position working five days and 40 hours per week.
• Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm.
