Job summary

Purely Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Optical Lab Technician to join our client in Glasgow. You will manufacture and glaze lenses to prescriptions, edge and assemble frames, and ensure finished products meet quality and turnaround targets.

The ideal candidate will have Maths and English to National Level 4/5 or equivalent, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work accurately under pressure with good time management and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Maths and English to National Level 4/5 or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to maintain accuracy over sustained periods.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and process optical prescriptions accurately.
• Edge, glaze, and assemble lenses into frames.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure lenses meet standards.
• Operate and maintain optical lab machinery safely.
• Identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe laboratory environment.
• Meet turnaround time targets for timely glasses delivery.
