Job summary

Analog Devices in the United Kingdom is seeking an Optical Biosensor Development Engineer to advance optical biosensor technology for integration into ADI biosensor products. You will develop optical sensor chemistries, design and build measurement setups, and drive prototyping through to manufacturing while collaborating with engineers and external partners.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with optical biosensors, signal chains, and multi-physics modelling, as well as excellent

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Biomedical, Physics, or related engineering with industrial experience.
  • Experience with optical biosensors and diagnostic/product development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of optical biomedical sensor chemistries and measurement parameters.
  • Build setups to characterise optical biosensors including mechanical and optical developments.
  • Develop optical setups and signal chains for sensor characterisation.
  • Lead prototyping activities and translation to manufacturing for optical sensors.
  • Collaborate with system architects, sensor designers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Engage with research partners and vendors to deliver rapid prototypes.
