Specsavers in Ashby De La Zouch offers an Apprenticeship in Optics that lets you start a career while earning a full-time wage. You will spend 15-18 months in paid work with structured learning, supported by an experienced team who will guide you every step of the way.

As an Apprentice Optical Assistant you will welcome customers, book eye tests, pre-screen patients, offer style advice, measure frames and handle calls, with weekend work required.

Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you'll be a fully-fledged Optical Assistant.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

• You have GCSEs in Maths at grades 9-4 (A*-C), or an equivalent qualification
• You've lived in the EU for at least 3 years and have the right to work in the UK
• You're not currently enrolled in another government-funded course
