Job Description:

Optical Assistant in Egham, TW20 9H. Salary up to £25,708.80 per annum, rising to £26,644.80 after completing our Front of House Development course. We are seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join our team in Egham for 5 days/40 hours per week (Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5:30pm).

Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists is an independent business focused on local relationships and excellent service. We utilize the latest diagnostic equipment, contact lenses, spectacle lenses, and fashionable frames.

As our Optical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for clients, greeting them in person or over the phone with a smile, understanding their needs, and working closely with the team to provide the best solutions. Experience in dispensing single focus, multi-focal, and contact lenses is required. Strong IT skills and excellent communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service.
• Assist customers in selecting frames, lenses, and optical products.
• Dispense single focus, multi-focal, and contact lenses.
• Manage appointments and bookings.
• Maintain displays and store tidiness.
• Handle administrative tasks such as payments and orders.
