Job summary

SpaMedica in East Kilbride and across Scotland is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our Diagnostic Treatment Centre. You will support pre- and post-operative clinics, assist with theatre operations, and help manage diagnostic and theatre equipment.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, Mon-Sat, with responsibilities including stock control, area preparation, compliance with confidentiality and safety policies, and participation in monthly audits and improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the running of pre- and post-operative clinics for all patients.
• Act as theatre runner in busy theatre environment.
• Manage all the diagnostic and theatre equipment on a daily basis.
• Assist with stock control, ensuring par levels are maintained and all items are readily available.
• Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities, ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for use.
• Ensure the correct storage of all equipment.
• Follow correct procedure for reporting any accidents or incidents.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
• To ensure patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with GPDR.
• Take an active role in monthly audits and subsequent action plans.

Role: Clinical Assistant at our Diagnostic Treatment Centre

Location: This role will initially be based in East Kilbride and will cover multiple locations across Scotland, subject to change depending on uptake/demand in services.

Hours: Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.

Salary: £27,030 - £30,600 per year

The DTC is a market leading mobile hospital, consisting of a reception, diagnostic and theatre module. Which can be deployed in multiple configurations to support the deployments needs. All equipment and stock needed for both outpatient and clinical activity is held within the DTC.

Work as part of a small multi-disciplinary team on the DTC, completing tasks independently, taking ownership of these from start to completion. With tasks including;
