Job overview
Op RESTORE is an NHS service hosted by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust that supports individuals who have served in, or are leaving, the UK Armed Forces and have continuing, physical health injuries and related medical problems attributed to their time in the Armed Forces.
Successful candidates will have a clinical background and an understanding of both the NHS and military culture and environment, along with excellent administration skills. They will be experienced in managing a clinical team and overseeing clinical pathways of care. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing and final sign-off of clinical plans to support veterans' ongoing physical health and presenting them at a virtual MDT for agreement. They should possess good problem-solving skills and be adaptable to working in a changing environment with diverse patient needs within a developing service. While the postholder will not have direct contact with veterans, this role involves liaising with GPs, hospital consultants, military charities, and other stakeholders to ensure complex referrals are supported with a holistic overview, coordination of stakeholders, and liaison with the MOD and Personnel Recovery Units (PRUs) for personnel leaving the Armed Forces who meet the service criteria.
