As an established, rapidly growing, and fast-paced organization, we are seeking an additional knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient driven Medical Director.

The Medical Director, in collaboration with Mid-Level Providers, functions as an essential member of the treatment team to deliver direct patient care, ensuring that all medical services comply with both internal and external standards established by regulatory agencies

As the Opioid Treatment Program Medical Director, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing patients with opioid use disorders in an outpatient setting. Your role will involve medication induction and dosing determinations, ensuring tailored treatment plans for each individual. Additionally, you will provide primary care services as needed, fostering a holistic approach to patient health.

It will be essential to maintain complete and timely documentation within patient medical records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with all applicable Opioid Treatment Program laws and regulations. Candidates must be a Licensed Physician in the state of Ohio, posses a Current Board Certification in Addiction Medicine, and hold a current Ohio DEA Registration.

Adherence to policies, procedures, confidentiality regulations, and ongoing quality improvement objectives will ensure a safe and effective treatment environment. This role demands a commitment to safety, environmental standards, and infection control, emphasizing excellence in patient care.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Knowledge of Opioid Treatment Program laws and regulations consistent with The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) and The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy
  • Ability to analyze reports test results medical records and examinations to accurately diagnose patients and advise necessary treatment options
  • Ability to confidently prescribe medications and identify treatment regimens for identified and documented medical conditions with knowledge of medications and potential side effects
  • Adherence to policies procedures and objectives confidentiality regulations ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety environmental and infection control standards
