Job summary

Sulis Hospital Bath is seeking an Ophthalmology Specialist Nurse to join our Outpatient Department. You will deliver the highest standards of care for ophthalmology patients and support a busy clinic, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout assessments and treatments.

The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with shifts from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 5pm on Saturdays. DBS clearance is required, and applications will be reviewed as they are received.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current practice license.
• Ophthalmology experience is advantageous.

Sulis Hospital Bath, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, is looking for an Ophthalmology Specialist Nurse to work in our Outpatient Department.

You will be providing the highest standards of care for our ophthalmology patients, while considering the specialist clinical needs of each patient. The ability to undertake the following are essential for the role:

• Visual Acuity tests.
• Biometry measurements.
• OCT Macular & Glaucoma scans.
• Pentacam scans.
• Visual Field tests.
• Assist with Intravitreal Injections.
• Assist with minor eyelid procedures.

Permanent 37.5 hours

The Outpatient Department is open 8am until 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 5pm on Saturdays

Shifts are variable according to the needs of the Ophthalmology service

This role requires DBS clearance
