Join a leading NHS Trust as an Ophthalmology Retinal Fellow, working alongside a skilled team in providing comprehensive ophthalmic services. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Ophthalmology Retinal Fellow to join our existing team of 8 consultants and 2 SAS Drs who offer both general and specialist Ophthalmic services such as glaucoma, retinal and eye casualty.
The ophthalmology service is supported by an excellent team consisting of Nurses, Orthoptists, Optometrists and Specialist Imaging Staff.
The principle role of the post-holder is to be an active member of the team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside Vitreoretinal consultants managing AMD, Diabetic and RVO patients.
We encourage the personal development of our Retinal Fellow and a full job plan, which includes opportunity for training alongside retinal consultants. The post-holder is key to the team and is expected to take a teamwork approach to relationships with other departments, clinic and theatre staff.
The post-holder is invited to contribute to academic, audit and clinical governance issues within the department and the Trust.
